DIRECTIONS:

America’s Islamic Heritage Museum is easy to access by car or metro. The museum is situated on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, which is the busy thoroughfare of the Historic Anacostia neighborhood. Our address is 2315 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20020.
To access the museum by car from Virginia follow I-395 unto the Southwest Freeway. Take the exit onto South Capitol Street toward the Nationals Park. Follow South Capitol Street over the Anacostia River. After you cross the river veer left onto the Suitland Parkway. Turn left at Firth Sterling Avenue and right at Howard Road. After you pass the Anacostia Metro turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. After you cross Talbert Street the museum will be on your left hand side. Parking is available on the street in front of the museum and immediately alongside the museum’s wall facing the restaurant. Please do not use the restaurant’s parking lot.
To access the museum by Metro please use the Anacostia metro station on the Green Line. When you exit the station go left to cross Howard Road. Turn right and walk alongside Howard Road with the school on your left hand side. At the intersection turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Continue for three blocks, the museum will be on your left hand side.
